Earle Illsley

Earle has been involved in mediation work for an over 30years . First with a community group Peacemakers  that offered training in alternative dispute resolution and mediation services to community , business ,non profit, Government and religious organizations. Earle also was a provincial mediator for the government of Nova Scotia dealing with internal mediation opportunities before he retired a few years ago.

Caleb Cheng

Dr. Caleb Cheng currently oversees the overall operations of the centre. He also serves as the Executive Director of Youth Unlimited. He has a strong research interest in youth work, peer counselling, and parent-child mediation, and lectures on Christian mediation studies at various theological seminaries.

Support Staff

Susan Levy

Susan, with help from her husband Charlie, has been serving as custodian since 1996. She has enjoyed learning a great deal of “behind the scenes” work that has to be done, and considers it a privilege to be able to have “God’s House” ready for worship. She enjoys the work very much, and Charlie has stepped in since his retirement from work to help and take on more duties. Susan’s role at the church is to clean all areas of the church and the office and keep these areas clean throughout the week, as well as to do summer and winter maintenance of the grounds outside. She works closely with our Administrative Assistant, keeping informed of activities and church usage. This may involve set up and tear down of areas for meetings if necessary as well. Susan’s role at the church is very important, and she is so much appreciated!

Tina Yuen

Tina Yuen serves as the Administrative Assistant at the church. Before moving to Canada, she worked as an art teacher in Hong Kong over 15 years. She later graduated from the Graphic Design program at NSCC. Tina enjoys using her creativity and design skills to help make the church’s communication clear and welcoming for everyone. In her role, Tina helps coordinate office administration and supports the many activities that take place in the church. She enjoys connecting with church members and sharing life and faith experiences with the church family. Tina is a mom of two and enjoys spending time with her family. In her free time, she enjoys painting, arts and crafts, gardening, and cooking. She also loves travelling and hopes to explore more of Nova Scotia on road trips along the shore and the ocean. During her university years, she was a member of the table tennis team and still enjoys playing today. Tina’s gifts and enthusiasm are a wonderful blessing to the church community.
