Outreach
Pastoral Support
Our pastors are involved in crisis care, congregational visitation, and short-term counseling. Pastor Wilton has foundational training in counseling, and together with others in the congregation seeks to foster an overall spirit of love and caring within the church family.
Visitation
Our visitation committee, pastor, deacons, mission groups as well as others make effort to respond to the needs of those within the congregation and community with a particular focus on the sick, elderly and house-bound.
Fellowship Events
"The family that plays together stays together." Youth and adult fellowship times and events for the whole church are an important part of our church life and a great way to build relationships that are so important to everyone. Games nights, picnics, lobster boils, New Years parties, bowling nights are all great fun and tend to highlight some of the more interesting "characters" that make up our church family.
Communion Offerings
Once a month, our communion offering responds directly to non-budgeted needs. These may range from disaster relief to aiding a particular family in crisis. Other interdenominational ministries in need are supported in this way.
Missions
Local, national and international missions are strongly supported through prayer, financial support and hands-on involvement. For example, support of C.B.M.( Canadian Baptist Ministries) connects us with personnel that serve in over a dozen countries around the world. These missionaries work with 20 different groups in the developing world, embracing hundreds of thousands of people, reaching out with the good news of Christ and a "cup of cold water" for many who are suffering. C.B.M.'s Sharing Way ministry focuses on relief and development. Through C.B.M we have prayer partners that we support regularly. Opportunities for vocational or volunteer mission involvement are regularly extended to our congregation.
